Hossa Reindeer Park
poropuisto naurava poroAn authentic reindeer farm located in Hossa, 100 km North from Suomussalmi Center, offers experiences among the reindeer. You can get acquainted with the reindeer at a close distance in the pen, try leading and feeding the reindeer or even have a go in lassoing the animals. 
Reindeer rides are organized during winter and you can learn more about reindeer herding through materials, objects and pictures along with stories displayed in an exhibition in the farm. You can also watch a video (duration 10 min.) called "Lapin Poro" (Reindeer of Lapland).
There is a self-driven ferry to an island next to where there is a possibility to get acquainted with the living of Tschukotka people
in a tent called jaranga.
Reindeer products, hides and souveniers as well as meals at
